Tuuli Orthopedic Physical Therapy's Blog on topics of fitness and general well being. Ask and receive answers about physical therapy related questions from an orthopedic specialist.
I have been in clinical physical therapy practice for the last 12 years. My career began in Madison, WI where I graduated from the University of WI-Madison, I went on to Creighton University in Nebraska where I earned my Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. My clinical background has primarily been in outpatient orthopedics with an emphasis in manual therapy. Having been a competitive runner at the University of WI-Track Club, the field of orthopedics was a natural fit for me. I translated my love of running into a running clinic both in WI and at CPMC in San Francisco. In these running clinics, I performed gait analysis, musculoskeletal assessment and assisted other runners in overcoming their injuries to allow them to return to their sport.
I moved to San Francisco in 2005 to pursue a fellowship in orthopedic and manual physical therapy at Kaiser Permanente. Presently, I am the owner of Tuuli Orthopedic Physical Therapy. My other professional certifications include the McKenzie MDT certification and the APTA Board certified Orthopedic Specialist designation.
